Operations Manual
Objective. The purpose of this operations manual is to regulate the organization and operation of the journal Kranion.
Definitions. For the purposes of this operations manual, the following terms shall be understood as:
– Editorial: Publicaciones Permanyer
– Journal: Kranion
General terms
• The following criteria are mandatory for all individuals involved in the functioning of the Journal, including authors and peer reviewers.
• Permanyer is the owner of the Journal, of the trademark rights, and of the corresponding copyrights.
• Permanyer holds the full and exclusive publishing rights of the Journal.
• Permanyer’s trademark rights and copyrights shall be acknowledged in a notice; likewise, it shall be stated that the Journal is an official publication of Permanyer.
• The Journal is published quarterly, both online and in print, in Spanish.
• The content of the Journal will be available in open access to the scientific community, free of charge for both authors and readers.
• Members of the Editorial Board of the Journal will be selected based on their expertise and position within their scientific field, knowledge of the subject, and consideration of the geographical scope, current or projected, of the Journal’s scientific discipline.
Composition:
• The Journal staff consists of one Director/Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.
• The Editor-in-Chief must have experience in the publishing field and will be responsible for implementing best editorial practices in the scientific evaluation and editing of submitted manuscripts. Likewise, the Editor-in-Chief shall ensure the efficiency and timeliness of editorial processes, identifying risks and implementing improvement plans as deemed necessary.
• Associate Editors must have publishing experience. Their role is to support the Editor-in-Chief in all functions, evaluate manuscripts related to their subject area, assign reviewers they deem most suitable according to their expertise, as well as perform any other tasks assigned.
